Is VisaAssess immigration advice?
No. VisaAssess is an educational self-assessment tool. It explains how publicly published criteria work and gives you an estimate of how your profile reads against them. It does not advise on your individual case, prepare or submit an application, or act for you in any way. For advice on your particular circumstances you should speak to a regulated immigration adviser.
Can you guarantee my visa will be approved?
No, and nobody honestly can. Visa decisions are made by trained officers who weigh evidence and circumstances that no questionnaire can fully capture. Our score is an educational estimate, not a prediction, and a strong score is not a promise of approval.
What personal information do you collect?
As little as possible, and nothing that identifies you. We never ask for your passport number, your bank account number, your address, your date of birth, your name or your employer's name, and there is nothing to upload. We do ask for approximate amounts and dates: roughly what you earn, roughly what you have saved, roughly what the trip costs. Comparing those figures against each other is the only way to show you where your own answers disagree, and that is the most useful thing the tool does. An amount is not an identifier: 'about $2,000 a month' describes millions of people, while an account number describes one. Your answers never leave your browser unless you choose to buy a report. We do count that a check was started and finished, along with the band and a score range rather than the exact figure, which is set out in full on our privacy page.
How is the score actually calculated?
Every answer feeds a transparent weighted model built from the authority's own published grounds for refusal. 7 factors are scored and the questionnaire branches, so you are only asked what is relevant to you. The weights are published openly on our methodology page, for the UK route, ties to where you live carries the most weight, followed by financial means and immigration history. One factor is different: information consistency is scored not from any question but from cross-checks between the answers you gave, so figures that disagree with each other show up. There is no hidden scoring and no black box.
Why won't you sell me a report if I score red?
Because it would not help you. If your profile has structural gaps, no report and no cover letter will close them, and charging for one would be taking money for nothing. We would rather tell you honestly, keep your trust, and be here when your circumstances change.
Do you write my cover letter for me?
No, and that is the line we will not cross. Every template is blank, with [PLACEHOLDERS] you replace, and you write every sentence yourself in your own words. What we do tailor is the selection and the annotation: we leave out the templates your circumstances do not call for, such as a sponsor letter when you are funding the trip yourself, we narrow the document catalogue to the items that apply to you and show you which ones we excluded so you can check our reasoning, and we put your own figures on one page so the same number does not appear three different ways across your letter, your form and your statements. Choosing which blank template you need is not the same as filling one in. Preparing or submitting an application on someone's behalf is a regulated activity and we do not do it.
Which visas do you cover?
Two routes are live: the UK Standard Visitor visa and the US B-1/B-2 visitor visa. Each has its own rule pack, its own weights and its own questions, because the legal tests are genuinely different: the UK decides on a paper application and the US decides at an interview. The Schengen short-stay Type C visa is next. We would rather do two routes properly than five badly.
